I met Gheybin nearly three years ago when I first started dating my partner. They worked together at one of the most incredible coffee shops in Salt Lake City, The Rose Establishment. Gheybin and I slowly connected over the years through so many incredible conversations. Gheybin is one of the most unique artists I have ever met. Her artwork is transfixing and otherworldly.
Gheybin told me about her plans to elope with her love, Jordan a few months before the deed was actually done and wondered if I would like to capture it. OF COURSE my answer was screaming YES!!! Gheybin and Jordan also left the location entirely up to me, wild, right???
I visited this small camping spot up American Fork Canyon a week before their elopement date and it felt so perfect that I couldn't resist taking them there.
Fast forward a week to THE day! Gheybin and Jordan picked me up with their little angel River in tow. We stopped to pick up two close friends of theirs, one to officiate, and one to witness and off we went!
We built a fire, warmed up a bit, had fun with the sun and smoke. We then made our way to the back of the canyon to a small field of aspens were they said "I do".
Of course before leaving they had to have their first dance on a winding mountain road on one of the last days of October. We all then signed their marriage certificate and guess what?! I was a witness!! Talk about an intimate elopement!
Gheybin and Jordan are two parts of a puzzle that couldn't fit any more naturally together. Thank you for leaving so many details of your day in my hands. I will forever honor and cherish being a part of your day.
